Before returning to Wisconsin, Annelisa began honing her craft in bow repair and making at Potter Violins, in Washington, DC. During her time there she had a small private studio, was the violist and personnel manager for the Great Noise Ensemble, and was a section violist of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of JoAnn Faletta.

Following her time in DC she moved to Minneapolis where she was the bow department manager for Claire Givens Violins, overseeing all aspects of bow repairs and evaluations. Today, she is the owner and operator of Guries Bows, located in her hometown of Oregon, Wisconsin.

She enjoys reading, exercising, baking, sewing, kayaking, and spending time with new friends.
