Elspeth Stalter-Clouse

Originally from Iowa, Elspeth Stalter-Clouse earned the undergraduate degree from Goshen College, a small liberal arts school in Northern Indiana, and the master of music degree in violin performance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with Professor David Perry. Since then, she has maintained an active teaching and performing schedule in the area.  She has been a member of the Hunt Quartet, an outreach ensemble affiliated with the Madison Symphony Orchestra, that brings classical music into classrooms around the county. She has worked with the Community Music Lessons programs at both Goshen College and the University of Wisconsin, and is currently on faculty with Music con Brio, a nonprofit music program operating out of Emerson Elementary School in Madison. She also teaches in the chamber music program of the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras.  Elspeth is a violinist with the Madison Symphony Orchestra, and performs occasionally with the Dubuque Symphony.  Active as a freelance musician throughout Wisconsin, she performs widely with orchestras or chamber groups. She enjoys performing a wide variety of musical styles in diverse venues, from Brahms on the concert stage to U2 on the golf course.
