Neil Gopal
A native of Brown Deer, Wisconsin, Neil Gopal joined the Madison Symphony Orchestra in 2013, where he also served as assistant concertmaster from 2015-2017. He has performed frequently with the Rhapsodie String Quartet, part of the orchestra’s HeartStrings outreach initiative. Neil also serves as assistant principal second violinist of the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra (Iowa), performs often with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, has subbed with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and has performed with the Oakwood Chamber Players. Neil earned the bachelor of music degree in violin performance, with distinction, from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with Charles Castleman and Timothy Ying. He earned the master of music degree in violin performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he studied with Felicia Moye.
