What to Expect

When you engage Quartessence, you will collaborate closely with our event management team, Laura and Sarah, to design the musical framework for your wedding—from determining where music will appear within the ceremony to curating a specific playlist that reflects your vision.

Planning consultations are available in person, by phone, via Zoom, or by email, ensuring a process that is both flexible and attentive.

Ahead of your event, we’ll liaise with your planning team as needed.  On your wedding day, we’ll work closely with your officiant and other service providers in our role as on-site music coordinator to make certain that all details proceed seamlessly.

For Your Wedding, a Basic Ceremony Guideline

• Prelude music

to set the mood as your guests are arriving (about twenty minutes)

• Processional(s)

for the entrance of family members (optional) and wedding party

• Ceremony music

special music to accompany unity rituals, communion, or serve as an interlude to present a favorite song or offer a contemplative moment

• Recessional music

to celebrate the new couple and accompany the departure of the wedding party

• Postlude music

while guests disperse, to accompany a receiving line, and to conclude the ceremony (about twenty minutes)

• For your reception or dinner
